 What makes this ten-scene excerpt so much fun is all the parallel action when Ethel, Vivian, and Ruth split up. The sequence can be cut in different ways, and the overall effect can be either funny or dramatic. However, since BINGO NIGHT is a comedy, the editor should make the humor shine — a goal that requires a great sense of timing.
